Browser share, OS share

Douglas Roberts-2
At last Friday's meeting, we were discussing global market share of Firefix
vs IE, Mozilla, Safari, etc., Linux vs OSX vs M$.

Here are the current share data from sites that hit the LANL, The Real Story
blog.  The blog has had 2.5 million page views to date, but these share
graphs only reflect the last few hours' worth of hits.  They are fairly
representative of what I normally see, however.

Interesting that Mac OS X + Mac PPC is 23%, much higher than the
usual percentages reported in magazines etc.

Curious about this several years ago, I probed a bit and found that
DOS based cash registers were included in the Windows column!

When looking strictly at home computing, I had heard a while back
that 20% was a reasonable number.  Seems your numbers bear this out.
