Interestingly, the article cites the problem of RFI (which is a
serious consideration when you have such big antennas) but doesn't
mention the problem of jumping transformers. Home and business
transformers can be jumped by simply running a separate wire along the
power cable to the customer establishment. However, distribution system
transformers require a direct connection across the transformer to carry
the frequencies. One of the issues with this is that a direct
connection can unintentionally carry more than the microwave frequencies
of broadband. I also wonder what the "power-lines are giving me cancer"
crowd will have to say about the extra frequency.
