Does anyone local have any ideas/insight why the NM governor vetoed the
LOCAL GOV'T BROADBAND INFRASTRUCTURE SB24 bill? Sour grapes? The ones who benefit from this veto would be the big companies such as
Comcast and CenturyLink that are eager to preserve their monopolies. Other than that I have no insight (but would welcome that of others on this list). --Barry On 16 Mar 2017, at 12:37, Robert J. Martinez is a egotistical ass is why. She also jacked up the Rail Runner and bullet trains. How she's still govenor is a myster. Probably sour grapes or persuing some agenda of her own. Force only knows what that is. On Thu, Mar 16, 2017 at 12:37 PM, Robert J. Since there was only 1 vote against it in both the house and Senate, couldn't a 2/3 override take place. On Mar 16, 2017 8:56 PM, "Merle Lefkoff" <[hidden email]> wrote:

There was a story late last night that the NM Constitution requires that the Governor is required to explain her objections upon vetoing a bill. Since she didn't do that the legislature declared her vetoes overridden. I suspect that fight isn't over yet.
