An introduction

Julie Rehmeyer
Hello all --

I joined the list a couple of weeks ago, after I met Stephen and Manoj at a
seminar, and I'm just now finally getting around to introducing myself.  I
am a tutor (i.e., professor) at St. John's in Santa Fe.  I teach
everything, as everyone does here, but my background is in math -- I did my
graduate work at MIT.  I was in algebraic topology, which is pretty far
from complexity.  I also had an internship at SFI with Stephanie Forrest
back when I was an undergraduate, so at least then, I was pretty familiar
with some of the things that were going on.  There are probably people on
this list I know from back then.  I already know Steve Sawin is on here --
hi, Steve!

I've been at St. John's for six years now, and other than teaching,
building my own house took up most of my time for quite a while.  But now
that that's done, I'm looking for some more intellectual projects to get
involved in.  So I'm happy to hook up with you all and learn more about
what you're up to.

Thanks for having me.
