After years of warnings, mobile network hackers exploit SS7 flaws to drain bank accounts • The Register

We know that Two Factor Authentication is supposed to be more secure. And Google's Authenticator app which gives you a new "pin" every minute seems quite effective.

But many TFA's use messages to your phone with a pin. Guess what. They are easily hacked! The cellular network protocol used for TFA pins have been hacked and are used to drain your bank account!

​Whoda thought! Dongles and Authenticator are still safe, whew.
